One Day Course

The one day freestyle courses begin at 9.00am and finish at 5.00pm. Slope fees are included in the price. Riding time is between 10.00am and 4.00pm. Safety briefing, warm up and course planning takes place in the morning. Warm down and course evaluation takes place in the afternoon. Each day is split into two sections, one on rails and one on kickers. Groups are a maximum of 8 or 6 depending on the location. All coaches are either BASI or AASI qualified and have been teaching for a number of years.

Two Day Course

The two day course is the same format as the one day, however the initial meeting will occur at 9.30am. This additional day allows the group to work more heavily on their skills and style development, as basic park safety and freestyle fundamentals would have been covered on day one. Hence if you were working on 180's on day one, then you might be pushed to work on 360's on day two. We anticipate group sizes to be smaller allowing for more personal riding feedback and video analysis.

'One Trick Pony' Evening Sessions

The evening course begins at 6.30pm and ends at 10.15pm. Riding time is between 7.00pm and 10.00pm. Slope fees are included in the price. The evening sessions will be focused on developing one particular trick, hence the name 'One Trick Pony'. Warm up and safety briefing occurs prior to the session. Warm down and course evaluation occurs at the end of the session.The rail tricks will be developing side on and ride on skills.

Additional Information

These courses are designed for people with a good basic riding level. We do cater for beginners in freestyle so people should not feel intimidated about attending. Please be aware that some of these courses do take place at weekends, and therefore the slopes will have other recreational users around. If you are easily intimated by people skiing or boarding near you whilst you are trying to carry out freestyle moves, or you are not confident in carrying out some tight turns to drop into features then the course may not be for you.

We are not too strict on the required age for juniors, but they should be able to ride confidently for a signifcant amount of time and be happy to mix in a group environment under instruction.
